Tasmanian Revenue Online (TRO) is a secure web-based system developed by the State Revenue Office.
Registering for Tasmanian Revenue Online
A Tasmanian Revenue Online account will be set up on your behalf by the State Revenue Office upon approval of your Application for registration as an employer. Details of your username to log into TRO will be included in your payroll tax registration letter together with a TRO information pack. Details of your password will be sent to the email address you supply in your registation.
You can then use your account to lodge Payroll Tax returns online.
Reporting Payroll Tax on behalf of others?
TRO allows Intermediaries (e.g. Tax Agents) to act on behalf of all their TRO registered clients through a single TRO Intermediary account.
Tasmanian Revenue Online can be used for self assessment of duty documents. You will need to register to pay duty through Tasmanian Revenue Online.
Using AUSkey with the Tasmanian State Revenue Office
AUSkey is the single secure online credential (or ‘key’) for business-to-government transactions. It provides access to government online services. It is common to all the government agencies providing support for SBR-enabled reporting.
If you are a registered user of TRO, and you have an AUSkey you can use your AUSkey to access Tasmanian Revenue Online (TRO). To do this you must link your AUSkey to your TRO user account.
