The Committee establishes strategic direction in relation to technology infrastructure, applications development and support; the internal and external websites; and information security. It also deals with all information management and communications issues, and makes sure that Treasury complies with whole-of-government initiatives, such as the Tasmanian Government Information Security Charter and Framework.

The Procurement Review Committee reviews the procurement process for all goods and services and for building and construction contracts valued at $50 000 or more. This review takes place before a quotation is accepted or a contract awarded, the purpose being to ensure that the process was fair and equitable and consistent with the principles outlined in the Treasurer's Instructions.

The Financial Assets and Borrowings Committee manages the State debt portfolio in line with the Government's debt management framework. It also has responsibility for managing the State's financial assets through the repayment of debt on maturity, investing for higher returns and managing the levels of gross debt and financial assets in accordance with the Government's Fiscal Strategy.
