At Treasury we consider employee health and well-being to be of utmost importance.
In recognition of the benefits of an appropriate balance between work and personal commitments, employees are asked to use recreation leave accrued from one leave year within the following leave year. During the past three years, as at 30 June, there have been no employees whose recreation leave exceeded the statutory limits defined in Regulation 21 of the State Service Regulations 2001 (Table 2.3).
The average sick leave taken each year has remained relatively constant at around 5.5 days per FTE for each of the last six years
On 30 June 2008 there were 135 employees who had an average long-service leave entitlement of 58.06 days. The total long-service leave entitlement balance was 7 838 days (Table 2.4).
