We also provide administrative support to the statutory bodies responsible for collecting State revenue, regulating gaming and liquor licensing, regulating the energy supply industry, and examining the pricing policies of certain monopoly Government businesses.

The Department’s budget for 2008–09 was $50 836 000 and on 30 June 2009 we employed 343 people.

The Department’s main office is at 21 Murray Street, Hobart, with tax, licensing and gaming administration located at 80 Elizabeth Street, Hobart and Henty House in Launceston. Treasury staff are also located on Level 5, 111 Macquarie Street, Hobart.
