25.03.2015 - Fingerprinting - Special Employee's licence applications
The Tasmanian Gaming Commission has determined effective 1 May 2015, that in keeping with national trends it will no longer require Special employee's licence applicants to have fingerprints taken. The Commission does however reserve the right to have applicants fingerprinted on a case by case basis if required. The Commission will continue to seek a National Police Certificate from Tasmania Police for all applicants.
As of 1 May 2015 Special employee's licence applications will cost $177.60.
02.02.2015 - ANZAC Day Two Up and Venue Gaming Hours
Two Up may be played without a permit between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm on ANZAC Day only at premises permanently occupied by an organisation where the majority of members are former members of the defence forces, predominantly RSL clubs.
Gaming or gaming activities (TasKeno, gaming machines and TOTE) at licensed premises must not be operated between the hours of 4:30 am and 12:30 pm on ANZAC Day, in accordance with the ANZAC Day Observance Act 1929.
