The Department of Treasury and Finance is the central agency responsible for managing the Tasmanian Government’s financial resources and for implementing strategies to achieve the Government’s economic and financial objectives.

The Department’s budgeted operating expenses for 2010–11 was $52 703 000 and on 30 June 2011 we employed 332 people (312 FTEs).
