First Home Owner Grant Increase
It is expected that once the detailed arrangements are finalised, the Tasmanian State Revenue Office (SRO) will administer the First Home Owner Boost scheme on behalf of the Australian Government for properties purchased or constructed in Tasmania. In anticipation of administering the scheme, the SRO has determined that applications for the FHOG for established homes will automatically be considered applications for the Boost. In addition, the SRO has created an addendum to the application form for newly constructed homes to apply for the Boost. Further information on how to apply can be found here. This site contains information about the First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) scheme and the Federal Government’s First Home Owners Boost (FHOB) scheme. Both schemes are administered by the Tasmanian State Revenue Office. The information contained in this site relates only to the FHOG and FHOB for residential properties purchased or constructed in Tasmania. If you wish to purchase a property in another State or Territory, the application and payment process may vary from the process in Tasmania. Information relating to other States or Territories can be accessed through the Links option in the menu.
