Economic Reform Unit

The Economic Reform Unit (ERU) is the unit within the Branch whose responsibilities include:

• economic reform, such as ensuring compliance with the principles of National Competition Policy and implementation of the national economic reform agenda;
• the State Government’s Legislative Review Program (LRP) and the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992;
• mutual recognition arrangements; and
• advice to the Treasurer in cases where approval is required for major industry assistance measures.
