Treasury Audit and Risk Management Committee
The Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance has established an Audit and Risk Management Committee, in accordance with the Financial Management Act 2016 and Treasurers Instruction FC-2 Internal Audit, and where appropriate drawn guidance from the Financial Management Better Practice Guidelines.
The Audit and Risk Management Committee is established to provide independent assurance to the Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance on the Departments' financial and performance reporting responsibilities, risk oversight and management systems of internal controls.
External member vacancies on the Committee
From time to time, the Department of Treasury and Finance seeks expressions of interest from members of the Tasmanian community interested in being considered for appointment to its Audit and Risk Management Committee.
These positions are advertised in the Saturday edition of the three local Tasmanian newspapers.
