Audit and Risk Management Committee

​​Treasury's Audit and Risk Management Committee provides independent assurance to the Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance on Treasury's financial and perform​ance reporting responsibilities, risk oversight and management systems of internal controls.

From time to time, Treasury seeks expressions of interest from members of the Tasmanian community interested in being considered for appointment to its Audit and Risk Management Committee. These positions will be advertised as they arise, including in the Saturday edition of the three local Tasmanian newspapers.​


Current Vacancy - Independent Chairperson

The Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance invites expressions of interest from those interested in being considered for appointment to the role of independent Chairperson. Interested individuals must have:

  • current Tasmanian residency;
  • knowledge and understanding of the role and functions of an audit and risk management committee and corporate governance in a public sector context; and
  • previous Board or Committee experience.

This position will commence on 1 July 2024, for a period of up to three years. Remuneration is $8 000 per annum.
