Gaming Control (Community Support Fund) Regulations 2022

Consultation opens 1 June 2022

Consultation closes 5pm 6 July 2022

Following Royal Assent of the Gaming Control Amendment (Future Gaming Market) Act 2021, the current arrangements for the Community Support Levy (CSL) will cease on 30 June 2023.

From 1 July 2023, revenue raised by the CSL, along with any direct contribution from the Government, will be paid into the newly created Community Support Fund (CSF).

The legislative amendments require the CSF be distributed in a manner prescribed by regulations.

Two rounds of feedback for the CSF have already taken place: during the development of the Gaming Control Amendment (Future Gaming Market) Bill 2021; and through a targeted stakeholder survey.

The Government also committed to public consultation on the draft CSF regulations prior to tabling in Parliament. This consultation is for that purpose and the following documents are provided to support the consultation process.
To provide feedback on the draft regulations, please provide your response by email to consultation.lagb@treasury.tas.gov.au by 5pm, 6 July 2022.

Unless a submission is marked confidential, it will be published on the Liquor and Gaming website once consideration of the submissions has concluded.
