Roll of Recognised Manufacturers Suppliers and Testers of Gaming Equipment

Applyi​ng for listing on the Roll

Section 70 of the Gaming Control Act 1993 requires the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission to maintain a Roll of Recognized Manufacturers, Suppliers and Testers of Gaming Equipment.

If you wish to do any of the following, you must apply to the Commission for listing on the Roll:

  • manufacture, sell or supply gaming machines and gaming machine games of a type approved by the Commission in accordance with the Gaming Control Act 1993;
  • manufacture, sell or supply other gaming equipment including casino equipment, cards or minor gaming products approved by the Commission in accordance with the Act;
  • enter into arrangements with licensed operators or licensed providers to service, repair or maintain gaming equipment through the services of licensed technicians; or
  • supply testing services to a prescribed licence holder.

How to apply

Roll listing conditions

Roll Listings are subject to the following conditions:

Manufacturers and/or suppliers/sellers

  1. The Person Listed must comply with the Act and any other Act regulating gaming, and all lawful standards, rules, codes of practice, directions, notices, or other requirements issued from time to time by the Commission, and must notify the Commission in writing of any non-compliance within 24 hours of identifying that non-compliance.
  2. The Person Listed must not sell or supply gaming equipment to prescribed licence holders unless the gaming equipment has been approved under the Act or the Person Listed has the written authority of the Commission to do so.

Auxiliary Gaming Services

  1. The Person Listed must comply with the Act and any other Act regulating gaming, and all lawful standards, rules, codes of practice, directions, notices, or other requirements issued from time to time by the Commission, and must notify the Commission in writing of any non-compliance within 24 hours of identifying that non-compliance.

Accredited Testing Facilities

  1. The Person Listed must comply with the Act and any other Act regulating gaming, and all lawful standards, rules, codes of practice, directions, notices, or other requirements issued from time to time by the Commission, and must notify the Commission in writing of any non-compliance within 24 hours of identifying that non-compliance.
