General Casino Licence
General Casino licences allow the conduct of gaming at a casino, including table games, fully‑automated and semi-automated table games, keno and electronic gaming machines.
There are two general casino licences available in Tasmania. These are issued to:
- Australian National Hotels Pty Ltd for Wrest Point Casino Hotel
- Tasmanian Country Club Casino Pty Ltd for Country Club Casino.
High‑roller Casino Licence
High‑roller Casino licences operate in a similar manner to general casinos, but with significantly larger minimum betting requirements and do not permit the operation of electronic gaming machines or keno.
High‑roller casinos are only permitted to offer gaming to non-Tasmanian residents.
There are currently no high-roller casinos licences issued.
Prior to applying for this licence contact the Liquor and Gaming Branch.
