Liquor

​​​​​​​The sale of alcohol in Tasmania is regulated by the Liquor Licensing Act 1990. ​

The Commissioner for Licensing is appointed by the relevant Minister under the Act to perform a number of functions, including the administration of applications for (and relating to) liquor licences and permits.

Licences are ongoing (subject to the payment of the prescribed annual fee) and permits are issued for a specific period of time.
