There are many activities underway in Tasmania to reduce the harm that occurs from the misuse of alcohol. The Department of Treasury and Finance is working to improve Tasmania's liquor licensing legislation and administers requirements aimed at changing the drinking culture.

Report on liquor licensing legislation by Stenning & Associates
Stenning & Associates undertook an independent review of Tasmanian's liquor related legislation in 2012, with the principal focus being the Liquor Licensing Act 1990. The Report recommends changes to improve the way alcohol and alcohol related harm are managed. It is available here.
