Training requirements

Any staff who interact with a patron participating in gambling must undertake a Responsible Conduct of Gambling course approved by the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission within 90 days of commencing employment.

The RCG course, amongst other things, provides information about the operation of the Tasmanian Gambling Exclusion Scheme. Further Information about the scheme and the online database is available here.

Responsible Conduct of Gambling course

The Commission will only recognise courses that deliver the national competency SITHGAM022 - Provide responsible gambling services conducted by an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

To maintain the responsible conduct of gambling competency, every staff member who interacts with a patron in gambling is required to undertake a Responsible Conduct of Gambling course with a registered training organisation every five years.
