Page Content
The Government Property Disposal Program is an ongoing process to dispose of non-strategic surplus Government real property. The majority of Government property sales through the program are managed by:
- Department of Treasury and Finance, for surplus building assets no longer required by Government agencies such as hospitals, non public housing, schools, offices and land within city and metropolitan areas..
- Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania for sales of minor parcels of Crown land.
The Property Disposal Program is subject to the provision of the Crown Lands Act 1976 which determines the process of Crown property sales.
