Health Fund Premium Increase Freeze
Page Content
Due to impacts from COVID-19, many private health insurers have announced they will be freezing premium increases until at least 1 October, six months from now.
Under normal circumstances, health insurance providers increase their premiums every year in April to adjust for rising healthcare costs, among other factors.
Therefore, if you have your health fund deduction taken from your RBF pension, your pension will remain unchanged for now.
Please contact your Health Fund for any further queries.
UPDATE: Most Private Health Insurers have announced that they will be passing on premium increases effective 1 October. This means that any Private Health Fund deductions will be increased from the first full pay period ending 14 October 2020. Please contact your Private Health Fund insurer for any queries in relation to your premiums.
