Faults and repairs

If you operate Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), you are permitted to undertake the following activities to rectify gaming equipment faults without the assistance of the Licensed monitoring operator, (MAXgaming Tas Pty Ltd) or its licensed technicians:
- movement and placement of a disconnected gaming machine to a floor position in an approved venue's restricted gaming area, for a scheduled connection to the electronic monitoring system;
- power cycling of gaming machines and other in-venue gaming equipment;
- connecting and reconnecting of power and data cables that are external to the sealed processor door of gaming machines and in-venue gaming equipment, including networking equipment and electronic monitoring system equipment, where these functions are being undertaken in accordance with instructions provided by the applicable prescribed licence holder (e.g. MAXgaming, manufacturer or supplier of faulty gaming equipment);
- replacing and installing light globes in a gaming machine;
- performing a hopper fill on a gaming machine;
- performing a hopper weigh for a gaming machine; and
- clearing coin jams on a gaming machine.
